Gastfreundschaft für eine Gesellschaft, in der wir alle leben wollen

Context

ZFV-Unternehmungen is a Zurich based gastronomy and catering group with its own operations as well as managing businesses on behalf of third parties. In addition to a hotel chain, the group, which is organised as a cooperative also runs restaurants, staff restaurants and canteens, cafeterias and catering services of all kinds, a confectionery shop and a patisserie and baked goods company, making for a total of 161 businesses.
Challenge
ZFV celebrated their 125th anniversary in 2019. In 2020 and 2021, there were significant changes in terms of the chair of the executive board and the senior management. The company is very well known, especially in German-speaking Switzerland, but it has a somewhat outdated image.
Approach

Brand Affairs has been providing ZFV with continuous support with their media activities (media relations, personal press contacts, media releases) and with issue management since 2018. As a highlight of their anniversary year in 2019, we took a group of leading Swiss journalists on a behind-the-scenes media tour of the company premises in Zurich.
